I do bookkeeping and marketing but I’m not a CPA.
(I am however eligible for licensing! Read more below!)
So what does that mean?
To be a CPA a person has to earn a degree focusing on a strict accounting curriculum with a properly accredited university, complete 4,000 hours (2 years) of accounting experience under a CPA , as well as pass not ONE—not TWO— but FOUR very difficult and very expensive licensing exams.
Ever wonder why your tax CPA charges so much? That’s why! Here’s where I’m at in the process of becoming a CPA:
☑ Completed proper accounting curriculum
☑ Earned my Bachelors in Business Administration, focus in Accounting
☑ Over 4 years experience in accounting firms under a variety of CPA’s
☑ Studying for licensing exams!
So while I work on those exams, what do I have that you’re average CPA doesn’t have?
☑ Frankly, a lower billing rate.
☑ Experience in agriculture and small businesses.
☑ Familiar with rural life and what that means for a business. (After all, it’s the life I live!)
☑ Completed courses in marketing and graphic design as well as ag-business, animal science, and livestock production.
☑ A HUGE passion for helping farmers, ranchers, and small businesses to thrive!
