  Mom . Ranch Wife. Bookkeeper.

Jewel Lembke

I couldn’t find an accountant who would help me with my own books for my tiny cow operation. They wanted to but they were swamped with the clients they had.

So I decided to learn not only how to do my own books but how to help other small business owners with theirs.

Fast forward to me earning a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, with a focus on Accounting, and working for local accounting firms.

Add in a husband, a ranch, and two beautiful babies and life got amazing. I was ready to branch out on my own to really start doing what I’d set out to do all along; help small business owners, farmers, and ranchers.

What I Do.
But am I a CPA?

Outside the Numbers…

Originally I’m from the heart of Utah mountain country but transplanted to the Wyobraska area in 2005 when my grandparents relocated their ranching operation to Veteran, WY. (Where my folks still farm and ranch today!) After graduating from Eastern Wyoming College with an AAS in Veterinary Tech and an Associates of Science degrees I worked as a LVT for 8+ years. Working with veterinarians across Wyoming and the Nebraska panhandle let me see a huge variety of livestock producers. From feedlots to hobby farms, beef cattle to quarter horses.

As mentioned above I saw a need in the community for competent bookkeepers. While working full-time, I enrolled at Chadron State College to get the knowledge foundation I would need to help others. While there, I was lucky enough to be a scholarship recipient from the CSC RBLI (Rural Business Leadership Initiative).

I spent the next years interning with a small rural CPA as well as working for some of the largest accounting firms in Wyoming/Nebraska/South Dakota.

Now, outside crunching numbers, I spend my time raising my adorable kiddos, helping my amazing husband on our beef cattle ranch, and crafting. (Yes that means sourdough but I also make the BEST mustache wax. Just ask my husband. )
